JULY

Person C:
Person C has been involved with our church even before we started this year. We are in the same small group and she has a genuine desire to learn more and is super close to believing. One thing that holds her back though is that she has a non Christian boyfriend and has been with him for quite some time. He isn't against Christianity, but I think a concern for her is what to do if she becomes Christian, which shows where her heart is. Please pray that she would see Christ as more precious and that He is the only one who can truly satisfy all of her needs.

JUNE

Person B:
This next person started coming to our church because he randomly met a family from the Nagoya church, who happened to be on vacation in Himeji, and because of his interest in English, the family told him about our new bilingual church. He happened to come Sunday and asked if we were open, not knowing what day and time our church was open. He stayed and had a great time. We all befriended him, and he even finished our First Steps (intro to Christianity) studies. However, although he understands and knows now about Christianity and the Gospel, he doesn't realize or feel that he needs a Savior. And now, because of his new part time job, he has been unable to come to church. Please pray that God will continue to reveal Himself to him and show Him the depths of his sins and his need for Jesus!

MAY

For each month, I want to feature someone who you all can be praying for. It is ultimately the Spirit who gives spiritual life to someone that was spiritually dead, so I want to ask you and include you to pray for the people that have been coming to our church.

Of course, to protect and respect the person's identity and privacy, I will refer to them as Person A, Person B, etc.

For May, I want to introduce to you Person A. He has been coming to our church ever since the beginning. Over recent years, he has been struggling with depression and PTSD. When he comes to our worship service, it is hard for him to focus for the entire message. He has been faithfully coming to our church, helping out, and even attending small groups, but there is still something that is holding him back, preventing him to fully submit and embrace Jesus. Please pray that he'll realize his need is deeper, that he has sinned against a holy and righteous God and that he needs Jesus because only He can ultimately heal and save him!
